I know this is kinda late, but...
It's a new sem and a new year.
Argh freak. I'm turning 20. Nooooooo!!!
Ah well. I guess coming into the new year, I realized that hey look, I'm a 2nd year uni student now. I left my hometown, came here and I'm living on my own. One word springs into mind: Responsibility.
That dreaded word. But the time really has come. As young as I may be, I've been with people older than me ever since I was 10, so, that's not going to take much adjusting. Only thing is that, I'm going to have to be more mature now. No more kiddy stuff! No more relying on people so much. Got to learn to do things on my own. Handle my own problems. Bear my own load. Of course, whenever required, my friends will always stick by me. My OLDER friends, from whom I constantly learn and draw wisdom from.
After all's said and done, I gotta say, I don't regret skipping Std 4 in Primary School last time. It has made me a better person and has given me the edge over those same age as me who did not skip. It's made me grow quicker and faster. Of course, the learning curve is really steep, but hey, it was worth it, and still is.
I jumped into the Dragon Year, the year of baby boom!! You can only imagine the competition we had in schools. Heh. Of course, after that, I avoided them by taking a 1-year pre-u in College and going to uni after that. I said goodbye to my Dragon Year friends and said HELLO!!! to my Rabbit year friends, who are mostly here in uni now.
This has been the period of time where I think I've matured the most, especially in the 2nd sem. Living on your own is so much different. There're no parents to rely on to clean your room, or do your laundry, or tell you to do your homework. It's all on you to get things done. It's in times like this where I've felt I've learn the most, even more than what I've learned in my lectures and tutorials.
When you come to think of it, at the end of the day, you attend classes, you learn new things, you sit for exams, you get results... at the end of it all, you realize how it doesn't really matter, because you learn the most outside of class rather than inside it, and it's that that you've learned that will carry you through your working life after you graduate.
Well I guess that's life. What to do? Heh.

Today was totally crazy. How is it that we scored 420 pts, but our scoresheet wrote only 50 pts and the top score was 200?!?!
Seriously, we have a looooong way to go in Computer Science. And who was it who said there's no prospect in that field nowadays?!
