Hmm... so the first semester is done and DONE! (betcha thought I was gonna say "dusted", eh??? "p)
I must say, it's been a great semester, and a great time I had in NUS so far...
Learned a lotta new things that I have never learned before...
Well, the Bible says that "knowledge puffs up, but love edifies" (1 Cor 8:1)
Really, for me, with every single knowledge I gain, I feel every last bit of innocence from me slowly chipping away... sigh... Oh well!!! That's all for the emo part of this post... or is it??? Heh heh heh...
So, like I promised, I'm supposed to post pictures, right??? So... this is the gang... the Maths gang (plus WF)... of course, some of us won't be with us next semester... well, at most 1... since XC is plannin' to switch over to Biz... sigh... we had a great time workin' together toward the semester exams... everytime we get down there, I could catch the familiar sweet smell of her presence plus the uninvited coffee breath and that hair with split ends... you could tell she was workin' really hard... less than 5 hours of sleep a day, almost enough coffee intake to wash out all the water in her body... You could sense the fear and insecurity in her... It made me glad that I was always there to help her in her studies... it gives you that good feeling to know that you get to help someone when they're in need...
Yeah, so, that's her and I at the Settler's Cafe somewhere at/near/beside/next to Clarke Quay/Boat Quay...
Seriously, she is one of the few interesting girls I've met in my life... from her looks, she seems like the sweet, innocent little girl next door, but deep down, she knows a lot more than you can possibly imagine...she's one person who's opened my eyes and has made me see things from an angle in which I've never looked through before... and I guess you can say that because of her, I'm not as naive
and innocent as I used to be anymore...
Even chatting with her now, I have never ceased to be impressed by how much she knows... she seems so capable and independent, it's hard to see her struggling in life...
I can only hope that our friendship will continue to strengthen tho we may be going our separate ways in the years to come...
I guess it won't be complete not to say, "You're like a sister to me, timbergurl!"
Of course, there's Humair b. Mohd. Omar... Met him on my first day in NUS, along with Maruf... both of them Bangladeshis... So, Humair is the Chem major, so I hardly get to see him at all besides during Chem lectures and lab sessions...
Humair has been someone who showed me that not all Indian nations over at the Indian Sea are sick with cholera and do nothing but toss thosais and slam naans on the walls for a living... Don't judge a book by its cover, they say, and Humair is a fine example of that...
Ok, so maybe he only cleans his room once every 3 months, but still... who would expect him to get A+ for his CM1101 midterms??? Honestly, I never expected that, and what he went to do was beyond my imagination... which is very good as to remind me not to get complacent...
It's not just the brains, he's a nice guy too, if you were to get to know him... has a very good sense of humour, cheerful in heart... never refuses the opportunity to have a good meal!!! Ah-ha, I love this guy! "P
Of course, there are many others that I'd like to name, but it's 2am in the morning and it's just not healthy to keep on going without some rest...

Then, there's the ever smiling Kenny TYC, funny how he's a Chem major who wanted to minor in Maths but is dropping next sem, while I'm the Maths major who wanted to major in Chem but am dropping next sem... lol...
Of course, Siow Chuen, of whom they call the Little Boat, directly translated from Chinese...
Sue Ann, our ever persevering class monitor who sets up our meeting times and venues for our discussion groups... I must admit, that as much as I have helped them with the quizzes and questions, I myself have learned a lot from all of them... And if not for SA, this will never have been possible... Thanks, gurl!
Then, there's Kai Yee... Little Bee girl... the picture of the birthday celebration at Meeting Room 6A is still fresh in my memory... heh! Timid and quiet as she is, she's a fighter inside... watch out!
Hmm, Kim Chwee... or Chuee, or Chui, or Chooi, or for some reason, I still don't know which is the right spelling... lol... he's the guys who's always crude and direct in his speech... never afraid to let his feelings out nor express what he thinks...
Now this is even harder... don't even know his English name... lolz... erm, what was it, Xu Sheng??? Yes!!! I got it!!! Buahaha... I remember something he told me in the middle of the semester... "Why is it that Wang Fei likes to make things seems so complicated???" Hmm... oh well!!! Crazy, yet somewhat sensible as THAT time it might have sounded... there's some genius element going on in his mind up there... beware...
Of course, who could forget... Horace, aka the HOR!!! (whore) Supposedly the one who got A+ for the DT1101 module... was even better than the lecturers and tutors, I heard... haha... I think among all, his room is the only one I've even entered... haha!!!
Then there's Kai Lin/Ling, however it is... contrary to what the picture might imply, he is NOT a maths major... so, what was he doing there, you ask??? Heh...
And, not forgetting my new sis, XC... 'nuff said!
Right, so... it's way past 2!!! I'd best be going...
