Hmmm... tonight will be my 3rd night in NUS... have met a few friends recently...
1. Humair
Humair's a guy I met the first night here... He's a Bangladeshi doing Science, majoring in Chemistry... he seems a very nice guy... The 1st day I met him along with another guy from Bangladesh, Maruf... He and I had a very long talk in his common room... most of it was about how our countries were, so I guess I had to redig my history knowledge which has been buried in my brain for as long as I know... but it was kinda interesting...
Saw him again today in the ALUMNI building attending this talk about how to be successful in life through NUS... seems as if he's met a lot of my Malaysian friends...
Sounds like a very cheerful happy guy, Humair...
2. Maruf
Yup, he's from Bangla too... this one's doing E&E Engineering... from the way he speaks, I can tell he's quite well-educated and well-informed... has a lot of potential... I think he will go far...
He's been complaining about how Singapore's telcos charge for incoming calls and how they keep cutting so much of his credit... he's also feeling kinda insecure in his position in NUS, coz he fears he can't do well as he has heard stories about how a lotta Banglas drop out of NUS just coz it's too hard... Oh well, guess we'll see how he does...
3. Dannis
He's an amazing one... only coz his name is spelt with an "a", and not with an "e"!!! LOL... He's from Seremban, and one of the many majoring in Life Sciences... I really don't get it... what's with these people and life sciences??? It's like... don't you guys have so many other majors to pick??? Like, physics??? There's a new branch in astrophysics that NUS is offering... c00l what!!! Why life sciences??? Sigh...
Oh well... he didn't take Physics in STPM so I guess Physics is outta the window... lolz...
4. Angeline
Hmm... another one from Seremban... apparently, she, Dannis, Yik Leng and a whole bunch are from the same town...
First thing I saw with Angeline was... SHE WAS WEARING A
LIVERPOOL JERSEY!!! w00ts!!! Yeah, and the first thing she said to me was that she thinks my version of spelling is kinda c00l, which is, well... c00l!!! +.=
And, erm... another Life Science student... LAME!!!
5. Yik Leng
This one is the more quiet, timid type, I guess... Doesn't really talk much... But you know what they say, diam-diam besi berkarat, diam-diam ubi berisi...
She's a Chemistry student.. (finally!!! Not life science)
6. Shawn
W00ts!!! Another one with the same name!!! Lolz... And coincidentally, he's doing Maths too!!! So we have the same name, and doing the same course... LOL.... except, he's Applied Maths, while mine is Pure... grr...
He... Today during our Matriculation Fair, I was at this Singtel booth at the exit registering for SingTel number... and for some reason, Shawn had to leave his bag containing info on all the club booths we've been looking at on a chair, and somehow, someone took his bag away, and in it was a NUSSU t-shirt that we bought like, 1 hour ago worth $10!!! And the whole night till dinner he kept sighing about it... zzz cmon la... it's just a t-shirt!!! Rofl-ness...
Oh well, one thing I can say about all of them - They're all waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay much elder than me... which is, kinda... intimidating at times, but yet a good sign that time is very much on my side... Well, whatever it is, time will tell...
