Before I turned on the computer today, I took a look at the wiring behind it... I did this because I realised after I returned from camp that something was preventing my mouse from moving properly, as if something was obstructing it from the directions of my hand... I looked and saw that it was being tangled up by the speaker wires, modem wires and some other main ports connecting the CPU and other hardwares...
I untangled them and now my mouse is free to move.
You see, sometimes things can obstruct us from what we're doing... in fact, sometimes we ARE the obstruction or stumbling block to people who are trying to achieve their dreams, and we might not even notice it!!! I once came across one of my collegemates computer which contained a folder full of Tom Welling's pictures... other than the fact that he is the star from Smallville, he is a complete stranger to all of us...
Have you ever thought that somewhere around the world, someone might have a picture of you??? That someone had you as their inspiration, their motivation, their drive to do greater things... Often times, these "someone"s are people you know... and when you fail to recognise them or give them credit, or worse, bring them down when what they need is encouragement, you become a stumbling block to them... you fail to realise the impact that your actions or words have on them, and hence you might ruin their lives forever...
I once had a dedication sent to me in school... it was anonymous, but the note read, "You are my role-model forever!" When I first got it, fear swept past my entire body... what is this??? A note from an obsessive stalker??? It didn't take me long to find out who it was from, but when I knew, it made me realise how much of an impact we can make in the eyes of certain people just by the things that we do...
