Sometimes, when things get in your way and you feel so helpless because you are limited by distance as well as physical and mental ability, you just feel like strangling the cause of it all... if, in any case the "cause" was stranglable (it's a word in MY dictionary)...
Been dead tired and drained from my recent trip to Singapore and the church camp straight after that... it was good to meet Siew Peng again... she seemed like an interesting person... but then again, all of Vic's friends are interesting... including me!!! zzz...
Well, here's a story for you...
One fine day, a sec schoolboy was waiting for a bus to take him home at the bus stop after school... It was deep into the afternoon, sometime around 1pm or so... and his stomach was already complaining for lack of nourishment...
Soon after, a figure approached... Being alone, the young boy wasn't able to call for help or do anything... the fact that he didn't have a handphone with him didn't help at all... The figure emerged as a moderate sized guy, dressed in a t-shirt and long pants...
As he approached the boy, he spoke softly... "Hey boy, do you know any gangsters???" The boy looked at him... Somehow, there was an air of threat in his voice, but the boy didn't seem to be affected...
"Uhh, no..." the boy replied.
"Ok... you know, I know some big name gangsters, and there is a knife in my pocket..."
"Huh, yeah, ok..." was all the boy said, refusing to be intimidated by the guy.
"So, let's not make a scene and give me all your money..."
"But I don't have any."
This was true... he only had RM1.20 with him and that was for the bus that was coming...
"Don't lie to me... open your pockets and let me see..." the guy commanded as he put his right hand in his pocket, supposedly ready to withdraw the knife he was talking about...
The conversation went on and the boy somehow persuaded the guy that he had no money with him... You'd think that the guy would be smart/cruel/daring enough to use his knife to threaten him... but he was completely stumped... As the bus approached...
"Eh, bus here edi... anything else???" the boy asked.
"Uh, no..." replied the guy as he walked away...
This just goes to show how dumb and stupid bullies and gangsters can get...
