I met up with Jun Wey, Yue Jin, Leonard and Marcus to catch a movie in Midvalley... Leonard and I already watched Night at the Museum while others said that Eragon is bound to be horrible... Hmmm... can't believe I've been looking forward to it though... even the preview wasn't all that eye-catching... so anyways... we ended up with...
"5 tickets for The Guardian, please..." Leonard said...
Little did I know that Reuben and Amy were in the same cinema we were... LOL!!! Anyways... it was quite an inspirational movie... not one you would watch if you enjoy laughing in cinemas like me...:p
Aaaaaanyways... I thought that movie was quite interesting... it's kinda scary seeing people stranded in the middle of the ocean/sea, in desperate need of help while none is given... Just when all hope is lost, the US Coast Guard arrives... The swimmer goes in, saves as many as he can, and then gets back up on the heli...
"Hey, Senior Chief... so what's your real number???" Goldfish asked...
Just then, Senior Chief Ben Randall takes a good look at him... then...
"It's 22."
"Well that's not... bad... It's not 200 but..."
"22 is the number of people that I've lost. It's the only number that I've kept track of."
From CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,
"I always remember the ones that get away." -Gil Grissom
That's pretty much the way it is in the business of soul-winning, I guess... it doesn't matter how many we save, but we must save as many as we can... because even 1 soul is THAT precious to God... Jesus told us that in Matt 6, and in Matt 16:26 - What profits a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul???
Even when we're down, we continue to save people... I remember in the ending of the movie... after Randall had fallen into the sea... Goldfish's narration... "There is a legend of a man under the sea. A fisher of men. He is called the Guardian."
As I left the cinema, I remembered Horatio Caine from CSI: Miami - We never close.
Well, so won't we. So... won't... we...
