(b-6)/4 = c
According to the equations above, we know that a=2, b=10 and c=1... Now, if we were to get a wrong, surely b and c would be wrong... That's how it is with our lives... it's a chain reaction... It all depends on the 1st ever decision we make... and it affects so many other parts of our lives... The above are just simple equations to illustrate the matter, but we have lived too long to understand that our lives are much more complicated than that...
This is why we need to be far-sighted enough to realize the impact we would have if we do certain things before we do them...
The Bible, of course, talks about this as well... Rom 7:14 - No man lives to himself, and no man dies to himself... Everything we do has an effect on so many other people, though we might not notice it...
Though we do not notice it, doesn't mean it isn't there!!!
A long, long time ago (not in a galaxy far, far away... :p), there was a woman... This woman was brought up in the church of Christ, but when she met this man and fell in love with him, she tried to get him to come to church... the man said, "The church of Christ is stupid." That's right. That's exactly what he said. So the woman left the church to hold her peace with her soon-to-be husband, saying, "I'm making this decision for myself..."
Now, this couple, bore a fruitful 8 children... and because of her decision to leave the church, not 1 of the 8 was brought up in the admonition of the Lord... and the 8 children married, and had grandchildren... and not 1 of them was brought up in the way of the Lord... and all because the 1st woman left the church saying, "I'm making the decision for myself..."
Among all the grandchildren, 1 was influenced by his wife to become a Christian and is a faithful worker in the Lord's vineyard today, and that person goes by the name of Timothy Wilkes Sr. ... Yup, that's right, he related this account to the church in Klang... and all because of the decision that 1 woman made, not 1 of his uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces... not 1 of them, was taught in the ways of the Lord...
No one makes the decision for themselves alone that does not bring an effect on any other...
