"The Kids who Saved Summer" - That's the name of the Disney Channel movie I just watched... It's about these group kids who tried to save their park from being turned into some electrical plant thingamajigidy... They tried everything... From protests, to sweet talk, to trying to convince the manager by making a deal with him... When all failed, the grandpa asked, "Who was it that said, 'I have not begun to fight'?"
Then the kids had an idea. One of them remembered that the manager loved sledding through a picture in his office... he loved his snowboard, so much so that he named his company after it!!!
So, the kids helped him realise what it felt like to have fun by getting him on the snowboard... and it worked!
Ok, maybe this seemed to unrealistic for it to happen in real life, but still... I'm pretty touched by this story...
1 Tim 4:12 says "Let no one despise your youth..." Well, this is because we think youths are not as mature as adults and therefore less wise and experienced... But we're all starting to realise that this isn't the case...
Well, I say to you - Let us not despise our children... And you know why? Well, once again, people think children are those innocent creatures and everything they do is cute, while it is actually useless to them... They think children too young to actually come up with new ideas or perform as good as, well... older people... Guess what??? THAT'S SO TOTALLY NOT TRUE!!!
Earlier this year, there was this newspaper coverage about this 6-year-old Malay boy who's a Math whiz??? According to the newspaper, he gave tuition and could help Form 5 students with their Add Maths!!! Too young and immature??? I don't think so...
Few Sundays ago, we played football at the Andalas area... then, Tze Ren and Ee Gene wanted to play as well... but then, we didn't really want them to play, because of our intensity, speed and risk of injury and all those... but they still wanted to play, so we did...
I took Tze Ren and Ee Gene in my group alongside Daryl... Guess what? They were amazing! Well, maybe they couldn't assist in the attack, but defensively, they stopped Ian and Hao Shen from shooting that we beat them like nobody's business... Bahaha!!! Innocent creatures??? Bah!
So many children are artistic... They can draw so well!!! If not as good, I think some of them might just beat us flat if there was some drawing and colouring competition... How do I know this??? Well, newspapers publish drawings of children every week, and I've seen some of them... and they're really cool!!! Can't perform as good as us??? Think again!
