Today is the 1st of May... and it's 1.22 am...lol...it's labour day!!! Supposedly, this is the day where all labours take a break!! Yup, when labourers take a break, so do students!!! Yay!!!!!!!! Also, according to the law, whoever, for whatever unfathomable reason, has to work on this day, shall be paid triple the normal wage... That's cool, man!!!
Anyway, I watched "I Not Stupid II" last Saturday at uncle Allen's house... Wah, so cool...it sorta portrays the situation students in Singapore are actually facing... I've never seen anything like this before, but I've heard students are put under lotsa pressure to perform... but is this really true??? Maybe it's an over-generalisation??? Hmmm... it certainly got me pondering over a few issues, as always... 1. Kids are still mad about Pokemon cards!!! Is this true??? Many of my friends have stop buying and playing them... even the little ones... The ones I know, my Sunway dudes... are playing MTG, so well... I guess that's not old yet... haha...
2. Is it true that parents actually torture and beat up their children like that in Singapore??? That's horrible!!! I never thought Singapore was that crazy... or is it???
3. Much can be achieved through encouragement rather than the opposite... Encouragement stirs the person and builds up one's confidence... Thus, making one able to perform better...
4. Maybe we ought'ta give some chance to the gangsters??? The show made me realised gangsters get themselves involved because they are neglected and are considered useless... I think maybe we should learn to understand them better and why they act this way... and help in any way possible...
5. Things are bad because we look at it that way... when we think positively... stuff happens... the ChengCai dude got expelled for getting himself involved in a fight... People think that fighting is wrong and bad... well, it is, if you use your skills wrongly... I still remember the dad, on his deathbed, telling him... "If you are good at fighting, make sure you become the international champion"... At that time, I was thinking of some boxing or wrestling or something like that... but the movie showed the dude involving himself in martial arts... hmmm... good idea... Sometimes we just think being successful means scoring good grades and getting double degrees and phd and all those nonsense... Here, no one really cares about sports talents... It's like Ian said, "You tell your mother you want to be a doctor, she supports you, but you tell her you wanna be a footballer, she gives you a slap..." Nicely said...
As many of you know, 1st of May is Labour Day... BUT!!!!! Did you also know that it's Yen Tsen's birthday??? Yup, that's right!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAW YEN TSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bahaha, Cheers!!!
