My fingers aren't feeling the pain from the intense go-karting session last Friday anymore... That's a good thing... Shoulder blade doesn't hurt anymore too...
Oh boy I tell ya... the G-Force experienced for a person my size is unbelievable... You'll have to be super duper uber fit if you were to get behind the wheel of an F1 car, I s'pose...
The NTU Open Bridge tournament wasn't too bad... we didn't win of course, ZX and I, but hey, it was my first time... what d'ya expect?!?! Still, it was a good experience... not to mention the good food!!! PLUS more free food in Tanglin CC after the thing was over...
On a different note, the new semester has kinda kicked off on the wrong foot... Was forced to drop 1 module, plus I had to quickly drop MA2214 because the lecturer was completely rubbish... wasted my time, really... Then I had to quickly bid for another one, and by the time I knew I had to drop LAC1201, bidding round had ended...
This means I'm stuck with 4 modules this semester... which could work my way if I play my cards right...
But I guess since then, everything seems to be falling into place... I guess we just gotta trust God and keep Matt 6:25-34, Phil 4:4-7 and 1 Pet 5:7 in mind, knowing He will provide for us...
My second semester in NUS so far has been challenging... Never before had I lived all by myself, away from my parents, and was faced with potentially life-changing decisions... I guess these are but a foreshadow of things to come, and it is things like this that will prepare us for adulthood...
Still, only 19 this year, I have to admit that I found out that I wasn't really strong and brave enough to make such decisions yet... It takes a lot of courage and maturity to evaluate situations, consider all possibilities and make the best decision possible...
At the same time, we need to keep in mind what Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Tim 4:12...
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in faith, in deed, in conduct."
I guess being youths, though we may not be courageous and mature enough, we can always rely on God who gives us what we need when we need it...
James 1:5 - Therefore, if anyone lacks wisdom, let Him ask of God...
What's ahead of me this semester is very hazy... There seems to be many things I will embark in... new challenges await me... I must be strong... We must be strong...
(Can't believe I'm sounding so philo...)
