siewps: Like, why can't anything divided by zero is zero???
pfalcon: Ok, take 6/0... what times zero gets 6?
siewps: ...
Because of this, I decided to re-read articles and re-researched it...
Well, you see... division by zero doesn't work, because it doesn't make sense...
Eg:
1. If 6x2=12, then 6=12/2
2. If 7x9=63, then 7=63/9
3. If 56x0=0, then 56=0/0???
The 3rd premise doesn't make sense, because it's not true...
Eg:
1. If we take 12 apples and divide them among 2, each person will get 6.
2. If we take 18 apples and divide them among 9, each person will get 2.
3. If we take 9 apples and divide them among 0, each person will get ?????????????
Eg:
1. 12/6 is 12-2(6)=0, hence 12/6=2
2. 50/5 is 50-10(5)=0, hence 50/5=10
3. 35/0 is 35-a(0)=0, what is the value of a???
Of course, we can always define division by zero as a limit of a function when it's variable approaches 0, which probably gives infinity, but that leads to nonsensical conclusions!!!
Another thing with division by zero...
x^2 - x^2 = x^2 - x^2
(x-x)(x+x) = x(x-x)
x+x = x
2x = x
2=1
????????????????????????
The fallacy comes from the 2nd equation, where both sides are divided by (x-x), which is impossible, because x-x = 0...
